This is a model of the famous flying boat from the British company, Short Brothers (of London, Kent, then Belfast).
I am fascinated by flying boats, seaplanes, and float planes (sometimes rendered as "floatplanes") and wanted to see if I could build one. This is my favourite type and it is very famous, so I opted to build her.
I believe this would make a great set as it is done using standard LEGO bricks.
