It's Alive!!! Well, Built...
Happy Halloween!! The Medieval Mystery Chest now exists in reality, so I wanted to share a few pictures. There are a few key updates to call out from the original design...
- Added additional support under the base.
- Raised the dark grey band one plate in the middle of the chest lid to be consistent with the rest of the "metal work" throughout the rest design.
- Redesigned the gears for the hidden compartment.
- Added chains to connect the lid and the base (to better support the weight of the lid).
- Modified the top of the base to include a recessed area for the chains to lay when the lid is closed.
- Changed the design of the back around the hinges.
I am working on some new pictures to replace the original rendered images, but the ones below highlight most of the updates.

200 Down, 9800 To Go!!
I was out camping this weekend with my oldest son, and I missed the first major milestone of 100 supporters. As of this evening, there are now over 200!! I can't thank you all enough for the kind words and support of my first LEGO Idea.
To honor the 100 supporter milestone, I have added 100 LEGO "treasures" to the bottom of the Medieval Mystery Chest. Thanks everyone!!
