This YouTube Tribute is a highly customizable display piece, and would make a fun and novel addition to the collection of any YouTube fan.
- Customize the iconic YouTube logo with accessories that represent your favorite channels and videos. Built-in storage is provided for extra accessories. Are the accessories not enough? Remove up to two panels to display your favorite minifigures!
- Remove the YouTube "logo" to access a fully equipped YouTuber studio! Features include studio lights, an adjustable microphone, a camera, a desktop computer, and even a coffee cup.
- The YouTube logo is designed to be attached on either the front or back of the studio, based on your display preferences!
Why did I build this? Being a video editor, I really enjoy creating and uploading videos to YouTube. Back in 2020, I suggested to LEGO Ideas that they could add the ability for fans to link to a YouTube channel on their profile. LEGO Ideas decided to integrate this feature, and I'm excited to see that it appears to be very well used in the Ideas community. Reflecting on how YouTube has played a significant role in my LEGO hobby, I thought that it would be fun to merge them together in a unique way.
Why would this make a great LEGO set? A very large number of LEGO fans use YouTube. Even LEGO has a YouTube channel! Because of this, I believe that it has great potential to interest a wide range of LEGO fans, in addition to getting non-LEGO fans into LEGO building. I can imagine YouTubers wanting to have this model displayed in the background of their videos, customizing it to match their channel content.
Random fun fact: the computer screen is a simplified graphic of the official LEGO YouTube channel. I had a blast designing the graphic!
