Nvidia Geforce 256 Graphics Card

The original Geforce 256 graphics card was marketed as the world's first consumer Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The first consumer card to support hardware Transform and Lighting, it revolutionised the PC graphics market when it was released in 1999.

For many PC gamers, the Geforce represented the beginning of a new era of PC 3D graphics.

I built this model for fun in 2020 whilst under lockdown and rummaging around in my LEGO box. It proved popular on social media amongst likeminded retro-gamers and now makes a cute desk toy next to my own PC.

I also built the LEGO Soundblaster Pro, Gravis Ultrasound, Adlib sound card and Voodoo graphics card.
