Mazda RX-7 - Group B Rally car
The Legendary Mazda RX-7 raced in several different types of auto racing ranging from events like the 24 hours of Le Mans all the way to rally racing. The Mazda RX-7 made it's Group B debut on February 1, 1984 and though it never was able to claim victory in Group B, Mazda got a solid podium finish of 3rd at the 1985 Acropolis Rally. The RX-7 was able to make several visits to victory lane outside of rally racing though, at events like the Spa 24 hours race where Mazda historically beat BMW after years of defeat. The RX-7 also won the British Touring Car Championship in 1980 and 1981.
I am new to Group B racing, but the reason that I am now interested in it is because of the skill that was required to handle these cars. I have hopefully translated my new found interest into a good lego set idea! I hope that I have done this historic car justice and if you think that I have make sure to click that support button! Also, don't forget to follow and most importantly share it! Thank you all so much for checking out my Group B project and brick on!
Don't forget to check out my other models as well!
