Red Blimp

Before‌ ‌rockets,‌ ‌before‌ ‌helicopters‌ ‌and‌ ‌airplanes,‌ ‌airships‌ ‌and‌ ‌balloons‌ ‌ruled‌ ‌the‌ ‌sky.‌ ‌Able‌ ‌to‌ ‌
maintain‌ ‌altitude‌ ‌without‌ ‌fuel‌ ‌yet‌ ‌still‌ ‌navigable,‌ ‌airships‌ ‌struck‌ ‌a‌ ‌balance‌ ‌between‌ ‌serene‌ ‌
hot-air‌ ‌balloons‌ ‌and‌ ‌dynamic‌ ‌airplanes.‌ ‌From‌ ‌rigid‌ ‌zeppelins‌ ‌to‌ ‌inflatable‌ ‌blimps,‌ ‌airships‌ ‌were‌ ‌
all‌ ‌the‌ ‌rage‌ ‌from‌ ‌the‌ ‌late‌ ‌19th‌ ‌century‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌start‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Second‌ ‌World‌ ‌War.‌ ‌Now‌ ‌airplanes‌ ‌
dominate‌ ‌the‌ ‌skies,‌ ‌but‌ ‌we‌ ‌still‌ ‌dream‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌golden‌ ‌age‌ ‌of‌ ‌airships.‌ ‌

The blimp was designed with children in mind, hence the simple construction and the easily removable cockpit. Both minifigures can pilot the ship with a simple outfit swap. This‌ ‌fully‌ ‌playable‌ ‌design,‌ ‌unlike‌ ‌any‌ ‌other‌ ‌currently‌ ‌in‌ ‌production,‌ ‌includes:‌

  • 2‌ ‌minifigures‌, a pilot and passenger,
  • A‌ ‌spinnable‌ ‌propeller‌,
  • A‌ ‌cabin‌ ‌containing‌
    • One‌ ‌steering‌ ‌wheel‌, ‌and‌
    • 2‌ ‌seats.

Thank‌ ‌you‌ ‌for‌ ‌taking‌ ‌the‌ ‌time‌ ‌to‌ ‌view‌ ‌this‌ ‌design;‌ ‌it‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌joy‌ ‌to‌ ‌build‌ ‌and‌ ‌any‌ ‌feedback‌ ‌is‌ ‌
greatly‌ ‌appreciated.‌ ‌Have‌ ‌a‌ ‌nice‌ ‌day!‌
