Back in 5th grade I was obsessed with 2 things: Pixar and Lego. I wanted so badly to make amazing, huge Lego sets but didn't have materials or access to online Lego design software. Well here I am, almost a decade later fulfilling my childhood dream by blending my two passions!
This intricate creation, boasting a sleek and minimalist design, stands as a testament to the artistry of 3D animation. The Luxo Jr. Pixar Lamp, faithfully translated into Lego form, serves as a unique display piece for anything from an office desk to a bedroom nightstand. With dimensions mirroring the proportions from its iconic debut short film, the set stands at approximately 15 inches tall, with a base 7.5 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep – akin to a real desk lamp. Additionally, the lamp's base swivels, the neck moves up and down, and the head turns left and right, offering an array of dynamic display options.
Also included is the 6.25x6.25 inch Pixar ball flattened by the curious Luxo Jr. It complements the lamp with its playful splash of color.
To be as structurally sound as possible for such a tall build, I used as few and small bricks. So, despite its size, the build only has 442 parts, making it a more budget friendly set.
