This set is based on The Princess Bride! It is based on the first part of the movie, where Wesley rescues Buttercup after she is kidnapped. It includes several iconic scenes, from the Cliffs of Insanity to the Fire Swamp.
The set includes nine minifigures: Wesley, Buttercup, Inigo Montoya, Fezzik, Vizzini, Count Rugen, Prince Humperdink, two knights.
There are lots of details throughout the set. Wesley's boat is docked in the harbor, with an eel swimming nearby. There is a bar for Wesley to swing on during his fight with Inigo. There are the boulders where Wesley fought Fezzik. There is even a table for the Battle of Wits with Vizzini. Prince Humperdink has his cavalry with which he pursues Buttercup. The Fire Swamp has several flames, lightning sand, and, of course, an R.O.U.S.
I think this would make a great LEGO Ideas set. It has several different scenes from a classic movie, it is very playable, and it has lots of detail. I originally built this set for the 80s movie challenge, and I figured it would probably make a great set to submit as a product Idea. I hope you like it!
