Captain Tsubasa

Captain Tsubasa is a Japanese manga series, originally created by Yōichi Takahashi in 1981.

Soon it became one of the best-selling manga series. The original Captain Tsubasa was adapted into a TV animation series. Numerous movies, television series and videogames have followed.

Football popularity in Japan has grown also thanks to Tsubasa and multiple real life players worldwide have been inspired to become professionals after seeing the series.

I spent countless hours watching the series as a kid and I guess it fed my passion for football as well, passion that turned into my career as a professional coach.

I hope this build will be a great way to celebrate the 40 years of Captain Tsubasa in 2021, also year of the Summer Olympics Games in Japan.

The build consist in three scenes with the most recognizable characters: Tsubasa Ozora, Wakabayashi Genzō and Hyūga Kojirō.

I tried my best to capture the motion of the players in action.

The three scenes are modular and can be connected creating a face to face between the players.

The piece count is at 392 pieces, including the three minifigures.
