Asphalt Paver / Road Construction

Allow me to introduce you to what it is all about. Even as a child, I watched road construction with fascination, which became my job as an adult. The first thought was to build an asphalt paver, because I didn't find it in the Lego sets and Ideas.

That’s the main machine in the road construction.

A truck tilts the asphalt into the hopper at the front of the machine, conveys it backwards between the caterpillars (it could be placed on the gears in reality, but my program did not allow it) on a conveyor belt, then when it reaches the paver platform, it's augers spread it out to both sides to the required width between the baffle plates, and the pressure bars compact it.

3 tracking systems can be seen in the model but in reality they are not used at the same time.

The first is the visual with the spear on the left side, which is used by the paver operator to follow the painted signs levelling the asphalt layer with wired level control.

The second is the ultrasonic levelling system, which are the two horizontal supports on either side of the paving platform with the 3-3 sensors.

The last one is the most modern, the contruction is controlled by laser and satellite control stations, which simultaneously controls the movement of the machine and the thickness of the asphalt layer. Theese are the stations that can be seen behind the paver, and communicating with the two column sensors on the platform.

The hopper wings can be opened and closed in it, as well as the right and left sides of the control cab and the sides of the roof.

It was so nice to see in my son's construction kit about 10 years ago when I first saw the orange element appeared, that these vehicles were mostly made of it. I think it fits the construction machines very well. The complete set consisted of about 4400 items, I really hope you will like and support it all!
