Ninjago Tribute Diorama

"Spinjitzu is inside each and every one of you, but it will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found." - Sensei Wu

From learning spinjitzu to unlocking their true potentials, the ninja of Ninjago have come a long way. The stories of Jay, Cole, Kai, Zane, Lloyd, and Nya have captured the hearts of fans across the globe as the main characters in one of the longest running and most successful Lego themes of all time. Now that the show has finally ended, after 11 long years, I would like to pay tribute to this Lego theme that I grew up with.
This 1938 piece diorama set includes five models, three main dioramas; the Monastery of Spinjitzu, the Season 2 final battle, and the Season five final battle, where the ninja face off against the time twins in the Iron Doom. Among the two smaller models are a replica of the Temple of Madness from Season 12, a black and white model of the iconic Season 12 episode "Ninjago Confidential", and a recreation of Cole's epic battle with the Skull Sorcerer in Season 13, Master of the Mountain.

THE MONASTERY OF SPINJITZU
Coming in a 392 pieces, this recreation of the iconic location of the ninja's training includes details such as a rock base, a reference to the mountain the building sits upon in the show, some training equipment in the courtyard and the temple itself, in its iconic red and white color scheme.

THE FINAL BATTLE OF THE GOLDEN NINJA
This is the largest and most epic model of the five, clocking in at 551 parts, and is a depiction of the moment Lloyd becomes the legendary golden ninja. This final faceoff between the Golden Ninja and the Overlord is one of the most epic scenes in all of Ninjago. This build includes the large building the battle takes place on, with rock outcroppings and purple darkness that covers the building. The Overlord in his dragon form is represented in great detail, with glowing purple throughout his body, something which I chose to add to make his appearance even more detailed, and a micro Golden Ninja fighting the beast. Lastly, there is a micro build of Corrupted Nya's vehicle, in which she uses to turn many of the ninja into evil versions of themselves.

THE HANDS OF TIME FINAL BATTLE
The Season 7 final battle, featuring Kai and Nya who go back in time in order to fight the Time Twins. Riding their fire and water Fusion Dragon, they fight the Time Twin's Iron Doom, which is recreated here in this 486 part build. For both of these models, I tried to design them as show accurate as possible in this small scale. The Iron Doom has the iconic four Time Blades in the center of the mech, as well as its two red swords. The Fusion Dragon was made to be a duo of fire and water, with two heads and two tails. There is also a cherry blossom tree next to the rock platform in which they are fighting.

PRIME EMPIRE AND NINJAGO CONFIDENTIAL
This 333 part build represents two scenes from season 12, Prime Empire. On the right, there is the Temple of Madness, the final level where Jay ascends in order to defeat the main villain, Unagami. This model features a floating temple on a rocky base, a smaller building, and two red belts that the ninja try to get across in the show. Also, the buildings are floating above a blue void.
The left half, features all black and white buildings, a homage to one of my favorite episodes in all of Ninjago, Ninjago Confidential, where Zane takes on the role of a detective and investigates mysterious crimes across Ninjago. A tribute itself to classical detective films, Zane spends the episode thinking to himself, and the episode is in all black and white. This model features several detailed buildings, in the color scheme of the episode.

MASTER OF THE MOUNTAIN FINAL BATTLE
The final, and smallest build coming in at 176 parts, is a recreation of Cole's battle with the Skull Sorcerer in Season 13 of the show. After blasting Cole with his green skull, which is depicted in the model, the earth ninja unlocks spinjitzu burst, an incredibly powerful variant of spinjitzu. This model features a rock bridge, as in the show, and a micro recreation of the Skull Sorcerer's castle, with a Lego skull representing the one the villain has on his base. Lastly, the model features an micro version of Cole's orange colored spinjitzu burst.
