Mountain Man's Winter Cabin

The Mountain Man's Winter Cabin, located high in the Rocky Mountains of North America in the 1800's, is built in a winter setting surrounded by quaking aspens, a snow-laden spruce tree and an ice-cold mountain stream running nearby and full of fish (good luck catching one!). The characters gathered at the cabin include several mountain folk who live their lives far from the hustle and bustle of the towns full of city-slickers and bandits.
Also nearby, we find a grizzly bear, elk, a couple of rabbits, some horses and an owl observing the goings-on from a branch above. Inside and outside the abode, we see all the tools and comforts available for luxury wilderness living.

Front door and rear window open, and the rooftop is removable. The cozy interior features a large stone fireplace, extra firewood, bench and table, and other various supplies, not to mention
a warm, comfortable log bed (who needs box springs anyway?). Plenty of winter stores to eat and drink here, including fresh hot biscuits on the table!

My inspiration and desire to create this build comes from old movies and stories about the adventurers of the old West, the people they met and lived with and the challenges they faced.
The real "spark" for the build came when the “Wiley Fusebot” robotic character appeared in "The LEGO Movie!" dressed as a mountain man and sporting his racoon cap! Gotta use that cap!

I believe this would make a great LEGO set! It tells a story of adventure and a lifestyle mostly forgotten in a setting a little different than we've seen before.

I hope you liked The Mountain Man's Cabin!

Better yet, I hope you also share it with your friends, and discover they like it as well as you do!
