My name is Micah. Four years ago, when I was 9, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I needed surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Lego was a big part of my journey with cancer. Each time I went for a radiation treatment, I got to open a door on the Lego Advent calendar. Each time I was admitted to hospital for chemo I received a new Lego set.
I played with Lego a lot when I was in treatment, and I built this Mech as a symbol of my fight against cancer. I have improved it in the years since then. The mech is piloted by a minifigure of me, and has all the equipment needed to fight cancer. It shoots chemo and radiation and is able to attack tumours.
I think this would make a good Lego set because it might help to encourage someone who is going through what I went through. I want it to be not-too-hard to build and fun to play with for kids, but still interesting for grown-ups.
