Classic Space Base & Nebula Shuttle

Classic space is a highly beloved theme among old and young LEGO fans alike, the iconic colors and exciting play elements made it one of the most popular and nostalgic themes of all time.

Now, decades on from its initial release, the LEGO system has changed a great deal, with a vast array of parts and colors with which to remake these beloved spaceships.

For this set I really wanted to capture the feeling of getting a classic space set for the first time, with a sleek shuttle that combines elements of both the Space Cruiser and Galaxy Explorer into a sleek and modern build that still retains that adventurous and original feel.

The interior of the shuttle is highly detailed, with a full board of controls for the pilot, as well as a bed, sound system, coffee maker and even a potted plant to make space feel more like home.

The back of the Shuttle also hinges up, allowing the storage of included cargo boxes, and emulating the opening rears of classic designs that served as inspiration for this set. The Shuttle also features plenty of other play features, like an easily removable cockpit and articulated landing gear.

The set also features a small space buggy that the astronauts can use to explore strange planets, the rover comfortably seats two and includes many features of classic designs, such as oxygen storage and a satellite dish.

Finally, the set includes a base for the astronauts to make their home. Sitting atop a brick-built rock structure, the base features a sink, toilet, table with astronaut food, computer terminal, oxygen tank storage, microscope with petri dishes and even a small windowed seating area. This base provides a great location for the astronauts to perform experiments and work together out in space!

The set features four smiling astronauts in brand new colors, as well as one adorable and helpful robot to assist with tasks around the base and shuttle.
