Let's celebrate the Japanese Writer/Director/Animator Hayao Miyazaki.
This LEGO Idea commemorates Miyazaki's 1988 animated classic My Neighbor Totoro. I grew up loving this film and the amazing story about two sisters who befriend a big forest spirit named Totoro. On one of the sister's adventures they meet Totoro at a bus stop and offer him an umbrella due to the heavy rain. From that point on Totoro becomes their best friend.
This set features the bus stop and Totoro with his umbrella. I've tried to catch the essence of the film and all of its details, from the lamp post, to the frog waiting in the rain with Totoro, to Totoro's tiny seed package in his hand.
