Lambeau Field - Home of the NFL's Green Bay Packers

Last Updated . Click "Updates" above to see the latest.

American Football has become one of the most popular sports over the course of its existence. The NFL has a rich history spanning back to its creation in 1920 and over 100 years later it is still going strong. One of the teams that has been around since the beginning is the Green Bay Packers and while they have changed stadiums since their founding, there is no place like home at Lambeau Field.
Built in 1957, Lambeau has seen several renovations since, but it has always held its historic charm. While other teams opt for enclosed dome stadiums and modern aesthetics, Lambeau Field holds onto its roots and revels in its history. This embrace includes the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.

I am very excited that LEGO has updated their part count as I was able to make this more fully the original design that I had in mind. There have been a lot of renovations since my first attempt at this build so I have tried to include the improvements that I noticed. I also added the seating that I had in my first attempt and scrapped afterward, it gives a more polished feel. I also included a lot more stickers/prints this time around. I've learned a lot more design-wise since my first attempt. The new prints include more Packers logos, Lambeau Field signs, the field itself, and the "World Champions" below the updated jumbotron. The new updates do make the build a little bigger but it still comes in under 4,500 pieces.

My first attempt at this build focused entirely on the stadium itself but there will always be something missing if the people who make Lambeau what it is without special. I now have included 11 minifigures. Three "Legends" are included: founder Curly Lambeau, coach Vince Lombardi, and "the Alabama Antelope" Don Hutson". Four "Players" are included: my thought here is that there could be different sticker options depending on if you are a Bart Starr fan or a fan of someone more recent, also the minifigs heads will have two prints for customizing options. There are also four "Owners": these are the cheese-heads, the fans. The Packers are the only publicly owned team in the NFL and the fans consider themselves proud owners. These are also meant to be customizable with possibly different heads, legs, and head gear to allow you to own your experience within this set. You'll notice with these minifigures there are two wearing yellow tri-corner hats. These are merely placeholders for the cheesehead hats that I wouldn't be able to do justice to however I tried. I have faith that LEGO could do it right. I also included the Lombardi trophy next to his minifig.

Aside from the minifigures themselves, I also included the two micro-scale statues of Lambeau and Lombardi that are included outside the stadium. I placed them on the minifig stand however because I didn't feel it was worth the bricks to create all of the extra "concrete" to include the statues where they actually appear outside the stadium. The scale of the stadium is not meant to match the minifigures so do not get caught up on that.
