This type of cargo bike is best known as a Long John bicycle. The history of these bicycles can be traced back to Denmark where they were produced by small manufacturers from the 1920s and up.
This LEGO model has working pedals and chain that spins the rear wheel. The front wheel has working linkage steering. The linkage connecting under the cargo area makes it possible to turn the front wheel with the handlebars. The bicycle also has a working double kickstand designed to stay in the right position when it's up or down.
On the sides of the cargo area I have placed the first LEGO logo from 1934 because it fits the style of this model which is inspired by cargo bikes from the same era as this logo.
I hope you like my idea of a Long John bicycle.
