Meet Pogo the Lego pangolin, a scaly friend made of bricks.

What is a pangolin?
Pangolins are unique, scaly mammals which feed upon ants and termites with their long, sticky tongues. There are 8 species endemic to Africa and Asia, some adapted to climb trees and others solely ground dwelling. Layers of tough scales made of keratin cover most of their bodies. When threatened, they will curl up into a ball and use their many scales to defend against predators. Their large front claws and short arms are used to dig burrows and unearth termite nests.

Sadly, all 8 species of pangolin are threatened with extinction. A combination of poaching for the illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss have lead to the decline of these extraordinary animals.
