Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
Flap, flap, flappity flap. This is no trap.
The butterfly, not dutiful, but oh so very beautiful.
Fun build. Moving parts. Warms your hearts!
I love combining nature with Lego Technic! (If you haven’t seen it yet, check out my Mechanical Flower with bees!).
Here I designed two moving mechanical butterflies. The build is powered by a PF XL motor, letting these two colourful butterflies flap their wings and take flight in a circle, whilst moving up and down. The biggest challenge for this creation was to make it compact, but still having complex mechanical functions included in it.
I built this kinetic sculpture because I wanted to take on the challenge of having butterflies that "fly", and this is the result. I hope you like it!
It is a fun build not only because the finished result is extraordinary, but also because it shows you new ways to build with Lego Technic, and another example of how to recreate natural beauty.
