In nature, hares can often be seen in this "moon gazing" pose and artists and sculptors have often captured that pose as a sign of hope as the sun returns at the beginning of Spring. After a tumultuous 2020, I wanted to use LEGO to build a sculpture that captures something of that optimism for 2021.
The
model has pose-able elements including head, jaw, forelegs and
forepaws. I wanted to make a sculptural display piece, using some of the
latest brick elements released in recent sets.
I've updated the model to build it in a single colour to make it more like a statue. There's a couple of additional images showing it in both black and white.

I hope this model reflects some of the incredible work of the LEGO element designers.
