The Karate Kid: Immerse yourself in Danny’s world and be “the best around”
The Set - With 2,312 pieces, this minifigure-scaled model of Mr. Miyagi's house will bring 80s nostalgia to the fans of The Karate Kid. The structure of Mr. Miyagi’s house is divided into 3 rooms (the dojo, the dining area, and Mr. Miyagi’s bonsai room) This model is complete with 6 minifigures, including Daniel LaRusso, Daniel LaRusso in Gi, Mr. Miyagi, Ali Mills, Johnny Lawrence, and Johnny Lawrence in Gi. Also included are: Daniel's car, Johnny's bike, paint brushes, buckets, sponges, sanders, a Zen Garden, 2 punching bags, a chest plate, various weapons, 3 Bonsai trees, a small pond, bamboo stalks, a cherry tree, and random foliage.
The Features - The set boasts unique play features such as shoji (sliding doors), a removable roof for easy access to the interior, Daniel’s beloved yellow car that moves on wheels, Johnny’s red motorcycle, a tree log to help Daniel practice the crane pose, and all the tools needed to have Daniel San "Wax on, wax off", "sand the floor", "paint the fence", and "paint the house".
Why I Made This - Creating a design for Lego Ideas has been a dream of mine; thus, I decided to combine my love for Lego with my love for 80s films. I have always appreciated the creativity involved in making a Lego set, especially iconic ones created by fans. The Karate Kid was an obvious choice as it is still enjoyed by young and old alike; it represents the spirit of perseverance and finishing strong, two things that Lego lovers can appreciate. I believe that this would make a terrific set as it is aesthetically pleasing and would be a welcomed addition for anyone’s collection.
