Eastern Meadow Vole

Why the Eastern Meadow Vole? Well, why not? When I was thinking of ideas for this contest for some reason a picture of a mouse in a patch of grass came to mind. So that's what I did. I did a little research to find field mice pictures to use for reference and found this little guy. Though he's not really a mouse, I thought he was cute and made a good candidate for my project. The Eastern Meadow vole is found in eastern Canada and the United States. These voles are active all year long, mostly at nighttime, and dig borrows in the ground where they store provisions for the winter. Overall, this was a challenging, but fun model to build. Getting relatively few pieces to come together to make the right shape was difficult, but after a few revisions, I was pretty satisfied with the end result. Thank you for reading!
