Freshening Up and Ready for Feedback II

As you may know back in September we started rolling out LEGO® Ideas fresh new look and features. We began with a gradual launch of the new challenge entry page, which is now visible to all members. With a brighter and clearer layout for desktop and mobile, an easier way to access comments, and better connections between entries and their challenges this new look and functionality represents the first step into the future of LEGO Ideas!

It's now time to launch into the next phase of the transformation and this is where we need your help again!

From today we'll be releasing our new challenge description page. Taking the same approach as last time, a portion of randomly selected members will see the new streamlined design and be able to help us test out the fancy new functions! We'll be gradually increasing the number of members who can see the page as we have a chance to collect your feedback and make sure these changes accurately reflect our community's needs and desires.

Once we've had time to gather feedback and make any needed tweaks the new brighter, simpler view and features will be opened to all members. These features include:

  • A more accurate overview of challenge timelines, giving you a clearer view of when phases end, what happens between them and what's coming up next.
  • Improved signposting for when it's your turn to do something, such as when a fan vote opens and closes.
  • An improved overview of builds and phase-specific filtering.
  • More fluid navigation between challenges and the builds submitted for them.
  • We'll also experiment with a fresh, cleaner format for future challenge descriptions to make the brief, prizes, and terms as easy to understand as possible.

Now it's over to you!

We value your input at every step of this process and we're incredibly keen to hear your thoughts on the changes. There are two ways you can join us in this process. Firstly, you may be presented with a feedback pop-up when using one of our new pages. It will invite you to give your views on the experience. Alternatively, you can join one of our fan panel interviews at any time by signing up here.

We'll have more updates and exciting news to come soon, but for now, we'd simply like to thank you for taking this journey with us and being a part of our wonderful LEGO Ideas community.
