Contest Winners - The Greatest Battles Built by You!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Star Wars contest! We saw some absolutely incredible builds entered, making it very tough for the judges to pick a winner and two runners up from over 600 entries! Take a look at the winning models for ‘The Greatest Battles Built by You!’ contest below.

Grand Prize Winner

'The Phantom Menace Diorama' by Krakenbrix

Here's what the judges had to say about the ‘Grand Prize’ winning design:

Great idea to make a circular model! A fantastic way to show all the highlight moments from The Phantom Menace with many fine details. The royal Palace, Naboo Hangar and Droid control ship are all great looking small elements of a fantastic model. Building a circular model is very difficult and has been done perfectly here. The overall level of detail is also stunning, thanks to the high number of LEGO elements.

Runner Up Winners

‘Obi-Wan and Darth Maul’s lightsaber duel’ by Hsinwei Chi

Here's what the judges had to say about this Runner Up winning design:

A very original idea crating brick-built poseable figures, with a great choice of characters and scene. The details on Darth Maul’s head look great, very accurate with horns and face tattoo. Complex figures built of generally standard LEGO elements. The minifigures skate element used as Obi Wan’s belt buckle is a nice little detail

It’s one of the most intense moments from The Phantom Menace which makes this entry perfect for this contest!

‘Waiting for boarding’ by IbanKhan

Here's what the judges had to say about this Runner Up winning design:

A great little diorama of the dramatic beginning of the Star Wars saga and a very interesting looking model because it’s split into two levels. It’s an iconic, classic battle. We all know what happens right after this moment! This is a great model showing that a model does not necessarily need to be big to be great!

What's Next?

We've got our Jurassic World contest closing in approximately 3 weeks, where we’ve already had some awesome entries. We also have our The Flintstones contest running at the moment too. There’s still time to enter your wacky bedrock inventions! And finally, we’re half way through our judging for the Stranger Things contest too, so keep an eye out for another winners announcement in a few week’s time!
