Huge thank so to all participants who took on the challenge of building a creative add-on for a 2018 LEGO Creator 3in1 set. Over 230 impressive models were submitted, which as always made it a challenge for our judges to make their selections. They have however selected 1 Grand Prize winner and 2 Runner Ups in the "Build the Add-On" contest. Check out the winners below!
Grand Prize Winner

Overall coolness and originality:
In trailer-mode, the model looks the part with similar striping as the rocket rally car. The mech really adds coolness.
Most inspired details:
The Rocket rally car fits well into the top of the mech and also stands out well.
Relevance to contest theme:
Using the transformation feature from the original Rocket Rally Car set as inspiration has really shown an in depth understanding of how Creator 3 in 1 would add to our models!
Best use of LEGO elements:
The similar use and balance of the green, blue and black color scheme fits perfectly. Using similar elements from the original car such as the grey wheel rims and green bows make the mech so cool.

The robotic racket-holding arm is so funny! Great heart-build too.
Relevance to contest theme:
The tennis court really was an add-on! Clear and funny, a great idea.
Best use of LEGO elements:
Good use of appropriate fence pieces, using snow shoes for old-fashioned tennis rackets works well. Also the round tubing element looks perfect for the ‘ball-shooter!

Adding cars to a stunt truck with monster truck makes so much sense! The design of how the trailer comes apart is very cool and original.
Most inspired details:
Great ramps and jumps for the cars and monster truck! Good color scheme that fits the main model.
Relevance to contest theme:
Very relevant to add cars for the monster truck to run over, even more exciting.
Best use of LEGO elements:
Great use of slopes to hold the car wheels and keep them held on the trailer.
