The LEGO Ideas team has been hard at work, and we are now ready to roll out some pages with a fresh new look, and some exciting new features for the best fans in the world to explore!
These new pages and features are still in a testing state, so not everyone will see all the new pages at once. We want to make sure that any changes we have made are improvements. So while we are testing these pages, randomly selected users will get the new ones. This will allow us to collect valuable feedback, and deliver a gradual rollout. So if you are visiting one of the new pages, please do fill out the small feedback pop-up window and let us know what you think.
Changes to Product Ideas Pages:
- Clear Progress Tracking: Easily follow a product idea's journey from draft to shelf with a clear timeline, and highlighting upcoming steps.
- Support Deadline Overview: Quickly see how much time remains to gather support for a project at each milestone.
- Celebratory Animation: Enjoy a unique animation when you support a product idea, adding a touch of fun.
- Simplified Navigation: Effortlessly switch between tabs like description, official comments, and creator updates.
- Enhanced Comment Visibility: Comments are now accessible across all sections, making it easier to join the conversation.
- Improved Visuals: User-created content is more prominent and engaging.
Changes to Submission Flow Pages:
- Built for Success: Easily access your drafts and rejected builds for the current challenge from the challenge description page.
- No More Empty Drafts: Drafts are no longer generated automatically upon page visit and are only created when you decide to save a draft.
- Image Uploads: Attach, reorder and validate images on the fly using drag & drop functionality.
- Submitting Support: Additional real-time validations coupled with more accurate messaging will help you submit the right content.
- Submission Previews: Not sure how your build looks like? Preview your draft with one click before submitting it for evaluation.
- Coming Soon - Making it Easier to Make Requested Changes: Comfortably amend issues in rejected builds by having direct access to the provided rejection reasons while editing.
So don’t be alarmed if you think something looks different, or you notice a slight change in the URL as you are directed to one of the new pages, this is all perfectly normal and you will still be within LEGO Ideas, this is just your chance to interact with us and let us know how we are doing as we try to bring you a more enhanced experience.
