Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility - Barton Cottage

This is the iconic Barton Cottage, where the drama of Sense and Sensibility unfolds.
The build has a full interior, with the kitchen and dining area, piano and drawing room, and bedroom, so one can recreate the various memorable scenes from the novel. I also included books and an easel as a nod to Elinor and Marianne's interest.
It comes with four key characters: Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, Colonel Brandon, and Edward Ferrars who famously said "I advise every body who is going to build, to build a cottage."
As someone born in Devon, South West England, Barton Cottage has a special affinity to me. Also I value the important lessons and themes covered in Austen’s books. I enjoyed recreating this set in brick form, and hope it will bring joy to others also.
I believe this is a good display piece celebrating the village feel of South West England, and offers an enjoyable building experience for Lego fans and Austenites alike. A great way also to introduce young builders to the world of Jane Austen.
