Candle Collection

The Build
Included are six different styles of candle, drawing inspiration from various types of candles and a candle snuffer to add to the feel of displaying candles. This would make a great set for people adult fans of Lego that like to build unique items for display purposes, making a great conversation piece. It also has potential to become it's own theme, creating vastly different styles of candles to decorate your house any way you wish.

The styles included in this set are:
  • Wide Bowl Candle (red & green)
  • Three Taper Candles in a Candlabrum (tan & gold)
  • Candle Jar with Removable Lid (pink & clear/black)
  • Pillar Candle on a Wide Candlestick (purple & brown)
  • Taper Candle on a Narrow Candlestick (tan & silver)
  • Candle on a Candle Holder (tan & black)

Inspiration
I've always loved displaying Lego sets and I recently got my girlfriend into the Botanical Collection which got me thinking, what other sets could there be to fit this small niche of Lego sets masquerading as household decorations? It wasn't until I was lighting a candle that I realised I could create it out of Lego which posed a new challenge for myself and thus the idea for the Candle Collection set emerged.

Specifications & Engineering
Collectively they contain 619 total parts and range from 4.8cm - 11.2cm wide to 6.4cm - 20.8cm tall.
The large bowl candle uses technic pieces to assure structural integrity to build the SNOT wall and flat surface for the top of the candle. It should be noted that the silver candlestick is made from an axle piece and ripped hose to ensure structural integrity and is not made from stacking studs. The jar candle and pillar candle are both on turntables that have been rotated 45° to visually break up the lines from the candle to the base, making it feel less orthogonal.
