Welcome to Space Ball Adventures!

Our small, shiny mechanical pinball machine, made of 2160 pieces, doesn't just look like the original bigger ones - it is also playable! Invite your friends and see who collects the highest score by hitting the turnable wheel in a spacey atmosphere!
These are the features:

  • Full functional plunger and flipper buttons
  • Score counter connected to the playfield
  • Game over hole and ball slot
  • Ball return and supply
  • Adjustable height of the stand to incline the playfield for more or less challenge
  • Obstacles on the playfield to direct and push the ball
Model size: 41 x 29 x 29 cm / 16,1 x 11.4 x 11.4”

We enjoyed working on this project over several weeks. Our focus was strong on the playability and stability of the pinball machine. That's why we built a cabinet for all the functions hidden under the playfield. There weren't any rubbers used at all, and we stayed within the grid of 32x48 studs.

The functional aspects were built over and over again, and we love to see how much our skills have improved during the process. Things that seemed undoable at the beginning just worked out while dealing with them. Once you start creating, many ways and possibilities about how to do it start to open up.

That’s why we love Lego!
Who are we?

We are Jonas and Songül @Sonic36, a couple from Berlin who started playing and creating Lego together a year ago. My focus was on the functions and playability, Songül helped a lot in terms of the overall style and the details. After we built the pinball machine, I used the Studio 2.0 software from BrickLink to rebuilt it in 3D and render it.

The background images are my own creations for a more spacey atmosphere. They are not part of the product idea.

We hope you guys like it and hit a support. 🚀
So long, and thanks for all the fish!
