Sad announcement about the project

Hello, guys! We haven't seen in over a year at this point.

First things first, Happy Easter! I'm not celebrating it right now because I'm Orthodox, but I hope at least most of you are happy during these days! So, please don't read this update if you love this project.

All the things you have done ever since I posted this Godzilla project mean a lot to me! Every click on the support button, every comment and every follow you left on due to my project gave me an opportunity to gather a lot of experience that I will sure be using in the future. For that reason, I thank you all! And because of that, I have to give you a reason for why I've been radio silent since I first posted my project and what the future of this project will look like.

I'm sad to inform you that I abandoned the project...

I made this Godzilla MOC after I watched Godzilla: King Of The Monsters for the first time. I really liked and still do like it, and that pushed me to build a recreation of Godzilla as best as I could at the time. The first submission was a failure, but the second one, BOY that was a radical improvement in my personal opinion. I learned a lot during the time I was trying to gather people's attention and I even made some friends due to the project. The problem was, I wasn't that much of a Godzilla fan and I did the project purely because I liked THAT movie. KOTM is the ONLY Godzilla thing I watched and that would cause some problems in the future.

When I promoted the project, I stayed a lot on many sites trying to gather support from others and I did that daily. That meant a lot of time spent and with, honestly, not so much support back. At first, I really didn't mind it much, but again, this will become an issue that I will explain later.

At one point, I had some really important stuff in my life going on and I had to focus on that instead. So I had to put promoting the project on the side for a while to focus on that stuff, but after I'd done it, I didn't have the urge to continue promoting it. I'd only posted it a couple of times every now and then, but again, nothing really had the results I hoped for. This time, it kinda discouraged me to continue.

But here's where stuff started to be more clear for me: I realized that I'm simply NOT a huge Godzilla fan. I kinda knew that a bit earlier, but now I understand that I simply don't like Godzilla enough to make a project that asks for a lot of dedication. I started with having the illusion that I loved that one Godzilla movie so much to the point I should spend a lot of my time dedicated to a project related to it. I like Godzilla! But not enough to dedicate myself to it.

So the reason for the cancelation was a mix of me not being a big enough fan, constantly failing to catch people's attention, and not being able to look past that issue due to my lack of passion.

In short, I'm just not the right person to handle a Godzilla project. With my recent project, I feel more dedicated to putting more work into it, even when my efforts didn't always give the outcome I hoped for. So I guess I should focus on that more.

I know this will be disappointing for many who genuinely were interested in this project, but I think you guys also deserve someone who actually wants to sustain this project. Especially the Godzilla fans. I really hope you will understand my reasons for not wanting to continue this project. The reason why I'm making this update is because, all of a sudden I saw a lot of support on the project out of nowhere. Probably is due to both the project running out of time, and maybe it has something to do with the recent Godzilla X Kong movie. I just want people to know that I have no intention of supporting the project in the future. If you still want to support a Godzilla-based project, I recommend you go to people with similar projects to mine and give them the support they need. I've seen talented builders having really cool interpretations of Godzilla and I think you will like it.

I guess, the thing I would like people to get from that is if you make any project that needs to be sustained, be sure that said project is something you are actually passionate about to the point of dedicating time to it, regardless if you fail or not. Otherwise, you will find yourself doing something you aren't that interested in.

Again, I thank you all for the experience and your support. That means and it will continue to mean a lot to me❤️❤️❤️

Here is your last Mini-Godzilla: 🦖

TL;DR I don't have a lot of passion for the Godzilla franchise and that leads me to find supporting the project frustrating.

What about that green Godzilla I promised? I initially said I would make a version of my Godzilla but green if I hit 2.000 supporters. I can't guarantee I will actually do that, but it's fairly easy. I'll see about that. But you don't have to do anything about it from now on.

HAPPY EASTER!!! +NEW RENDER and Announcement!

Happy Easter everybody!

I know for some I might be a bit late with this update. I'm Orthodox and the rules for when Easter Day is celebrated differ from Catholics. I forgot about that and, as a result, I might be late for some of you.

To celebrate Easter, I made this render of Godzilla being caught by Mothra painting her own egg. Let's say she is... not really impressed with her boyfriend's actions.

And now for the announcement:

If you guys manage to get "Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Display Model" to 2.000 supporters...

I'll make Godzilla GREEN! I know you want Godzilla to be GREEN!

Late Easter Update!

So, I want to make an Ester update, but It might be late for some of you. You see, I'm Orthodox and for me, Easter takes place next Sunday and I forgot not everyone celebrates it this the same day... Ups...

I'll try to make something cute these days!

1000 SUPPORTERS!?! THANK YOU!!! (also new image)

As the title already said, the project already reached the 1.000 supporters milestone! We are officially finished the first 10% of our journey and I can not be anything but thankful for it.

I want to mention that, on my first attempt with this project, I managed to get 514 supporters within the time given off over a year. Now, in this attempt, I managed to get 1.000 supporters in just TWO MONTHS! That's AMAZING! You guys ROCK!

We still have a long journey to do till we reach 10.000 supporters, so please share the project with your friends, families, and forums, you name it!

But first, please enjoy this little fella wearing a party hat! Look how smiley and happy he is!
