The Bionic Raptor [Jeff]

This is a mechanical raptor made up of LEGO Technic parts and can move using rubber bands. When the mechanical raptor's string is fully wound up, it will move on its own without any electronics!

This was built to teach kids about simple machines. Its distinctive look and functionality inspire me to share it in LEGO IDEAS.

I believe this would make a great Lego set because it can teach kids how to build a robot without overcomplicated mechanics. It's a combination of a mousetrap car and a running raptor. Along with its simplicity, this LEGO set also can teach kids STEM because of its fascinating engineering mechanics. It can be tweaked (ex. Gear Train, wheel size, etc.) to improve the speed or the distance traveled, and it will inspire kids that the STEM field is captivating.
