Welcome to Bavaria!

You've come at the perfect time, because today our small town is having it's traditional Christmas Market!
Join us at the Festbaum (festive tree), where we light the candles on the advent wreath.
Take in the picturesque scenery of our medieval tower and town wall, both decorated for this festive occasion.
Enjoy some of our tasty treats, like Lebkuchen (gingerbread), heiße Maroni (roasted chestnuts) and of course Bratwurst (sausages).
Take a spin in our horse carousel, try to find our hidden Christmas tree or build a snowman.
After all of these amazing activities warm yourself up with some Kinderpunsch (spiced, hot fruit punch) or tea.

We sincerely hope, that you enjoyed your visit to our Bavarian Christmas Market!
We love to welcome you again!

Best wishes,
The Bavarian Christmas Market Tourist Board

About the Bavarian Christmas Market:

Christmas Markets are a cherished annual tradition in almost every bavarian town or village.
Some markets run for two days, some for multiple weeks.
All these Christmas Markets have something in common: the amazing atmosphere.
With this build I've tried to capture the fun and excitement, that Christmas Markets evoke every year.

The setting I chose, is a small town with parts of medieval structures. These are quite common and where Christmas Markets often take place.

The Bavarian Christmas Market includes:

  • a working horse carousel
  • a roasted chestnut locomotive
  • a festive tree with advent wreath
  • a sausage grill
  • a stand for spiced, hot fruit punch and tea
  • a bakery, which sells gingerbread, pretzels and other baked goods with a working carillon in the top of the building
  • a medieval town wall
  • a medieval town tower
  • a hidden christmas tree
  • lots of other details
