Tugs

The tugboat, for it's size is the most powerful craft afloat. And the Star Tugs are the power behind the docks and waterways that make up the Bigg City Port. This... is Tugs.

Tugs was a British childrens television series that ran for one season in 1989. Set in the roaring 20s, it told the stories of two rival fleets of tugboats; the Star Tugs and the Z-Stacks. The two fleets competed for ocean contracts. Along the way, they would encounter pirates, a mischevieous alligator tug, and ocassional visits from the local patrol and Navy. The series only had 13 episodes and was later sold off.

This project proposal consists of all 6 Star Tugs: Ten Cents, Sunshine, Big Mac, Warrior, O.J., and Hercules. All models are minifigure scale.

I think this would be great for kids, adults, fans, and collectors.

Fun Facts about Tugs:

• Footage from the show were used in the 1997 American series Salty's Lighthouse.
• The character Hercules is based on a real life tugboat of the same name, which was built in 1907 and currently resides at the Hyde Street Pier at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.
