This shield captures a likeness similar to the ones used by knights in the Medieval Ages and the ones used by our very own knight's in our collections. The main purpose that the shield serves is to give a unique contribution to the LEGO ideas line and diversify the knight sets that LEGO has created.
Ultimately, expanding the art pieces that they offer by giving a different perspective of creating a Medieval piece that isn't made out of thousands of studs. Another reason why this set has potential is due to the audience that this can reach. You may ask how is that applicable?
