Go bananas with AiAi in this fully functional Super Monkey Ball playset!
The set contains one AiAi figure, one monkey ball, one functional base with a joystick, and numerous other course building parts to make your own levels! There are also 8 bananas and 2 banana bunches to add to your courses. After building your Super Monkey Ball Floor, use the joystick to carefully guide AiAi through the level and to the goal ring!
I built this LEGO set because I wanted to try recreating the concept of a Super Monkey Ball game in LEGO. While I was making the set on Bricklink's Stud.io program, I soon discovered that it is currently impossible to make a perfectly round sphere with LEGO bricks. After brainstorming for a while, I decided to build a small cylinder instead.
I believe this would make a great LEGO set for the following reasons:
- The ability to use a joystick to control a monkey in a ball provides a level of functionality and interactivity rarely seen in LEGO sets.
- Super Monkey Ball is one of the most unique video game franchises, and having a LEGO set based on the series would be really cool.
- LEGO has already partnered with SEGA for the Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone set, making this project more likely to happen.
