The Motive: Tennis

Tennis is a thrilling, gorgeous, and glorious sport that has been loved worldwide for decades.
What makes it attractive?

Of course, Tennis is a sum of all the exciting features that sport has. It has running, ball-hitting, hard workouts. But, It has more than that.

Imagine you are grabbing a racket, under the sunny baby-blue sky.

Hundreds of audiences follow you and your opponent’s every movement; the stroke, the footwork, and the rallies of a ball.

The ground you are on, full of green grass particles, is beautifully splendid by sunshine. It’s heart beating.

When the opponent smashes the ball to your court, you try to hit it back.

Look at the green ball! It’s flying over the net making a glorious parabola-shape to the other side.

The court trembles every time you make an excellent performance, like your amazing backhand penetrating the opponent’s defense or your well-managed drop shot nailing it.

Feel the energetic footwork of the players.

Enjoy the powerful stroke to quake the audience.

Tennis gives you a heart-beating experience.

I’ve been dreaming of a Tennis play LEGO set to share these experiences with others.

Welcome to “Brick Open Championship Centre Court”

“Brick Open Tennis Championship”, one of the most popular sports events in the LEGO world, is a major Tennis game held on this Centre Court.

Let me take you to this building corner by corner.

Starting from the outside of the building, its exterior is featured by Mediterranean-style limestones, which make it look warm and cozy.

You can find the line of arches on each floor, giving stability and a sense of unity.

The first floor of Block A, on the left side of the main entrance, 'Café Briquegogne' welcomes you.

Before you enter the court, or at break time, you may enjoy some coffee, fresh drinks, or ice cream. Afraid of missing some moments of the game?

No worries, the championship match is on TV in the cafe.

On the Block B, a place for Tennis fans awaits you.

Do you want to have sportswear the players are wearing on the court? Do you want to have a high-quality racket for better performance?

There is a “STUDS” shop for you.

The shop provides you with various tennis equipment and gear from innerwear to tennis balls with reasonable prices. Please come in and find some you like. Feel free to try them on!

Now it’s time to see the court. Up to the second floor, getting into the main entrance, you can see a grandstand.

Before getting a seat on the stand, you may find a lounge on each side of the second floor.

Tennis not only requires the players but also many participants such as judges, the Chair Umpire, and ball kids to assist the players.

The Umpires rule the game and sometimes they make judgments for iffy situations like whether the ball slightly touched the line or not.

To the far left on the stand, there is a TV camera for live broadcasting. Stay tuned on Bricksports TV!

Do not miss the spectacular moments your players are about to show.

No need to worry even if you rarely know about Tennis. Bricksports TV has an experienced commentator to explain the match nicely.

Shall We Play a Game of Tennis?

Have you enjoyed my work? Following this ‘Brick Open Championship Centre Court’, I hope you gained some interest in Tennis.

Of course, just watching the game is fun enough but why don’t you try to play it yourself? It would make your experience of tennis a whole lot different.

So, how would the Championship unfold? It depends on you; when this idea is realized you to build this exquisite Tennis court on your own! :)

The Main Court of the Rolland Garros says; “Victory Belongs to the Most Tenacious”.

The Brick Open Championship Centre Court would like to say; “Victory Belongs to the Most Humorous.”

Be positive, be fun, and be happy for your LEGO life!
