Welcome to the City Museum! &nbsp;Every LEGO city needs a museum, especially one with a Dinosaur Exhibit. &nbsp;This two story Modular Building is the perfect corner building complete with science, history and art exhibits. &nbsp;The modular design comes apart in 3 segments (1st floor, 2nd floor, and roof) and includes a glass elevator for travel between floors.

The Design&nbsp;has been a 3-year process with multiple edits and redesigns. &nbsp;It all began with my love for dinosaurs. &nbsp;I had multiple dinosaurs from the DINO theme and others from the Jurassic World sets. &nbsp;As a collector and creator of custom modular buildings, I wanted a way to display my dinosaurs, but I had to figure out a way to put a&nbsp;Tyrannosaurus rex&nbsp;into a building. &nbsp;I also wanted to include other dinosaur models and collectable minifigures into the design. &nbsp;The initial design process started with a 32x32 baseplate, a&nbsp;T. rex&nbsp;and the idea to incorporate a rounded corner with large windows.

The Exterior&nbsp;initially started with rounded corner windows. &nbsp;The museum needed to look old, intricate and historic. &nbsp;The exterior is primarily made of white bricks and&nbsp;black window frames. &nbsp;Ornamentation of dark red (masonry brick and tiles), gold (round tiles and slopes for handrails), sand green awnings and roof detail add to the character of the building. &nbsp;The inclusion of sand green is supposed to represent oxidized copper). &nbsp;

A lever for the glass elevator is located in the front right corner of the building. &nbsp;The side walk has a corner detail, street light and fire hydrant (made with a hard hat for the dome). &nbsp;Two glass doors with gold door handles (fire nozzle pieces) are found on each side of the building, complete with staircases into the museum and down to the first floor. &nbsp;Flower boxes above the entrances complete the inviting exterior of the City Museum.

The 1st Floor&nbsp;is home to a Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Coelophysis, fossilized bones, a&nbsp;Brachiosaurus&nbsp;bust, Pteranodon&nbsp;and the gift shop. &nbsp; The&nbsp;T. rex&nbsp;is the prize exhibit of this museum and spans across the entire first floor. &nbsp;Found on the right side of the building are the glass elevator, fossils,&nbsp;Coelophysis&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brachiosaurus&nbsp;bust. &nbsp;The left side of the building is home to the&nbsp;Velociraptor and&nbsp;decorative fern tree. &nbsp;Minifigures can purchase a souvenir the back corner of the first floor. &nbsp;The gift shop includes dinosaurs, books, frogs, mugs and gemstones. &nbsp;Flying above the first floor is the&nbsp;Pteranodon.&nbsp; The mighty&nbsp;Pternanodon&#39;s&nbsp;wings span across the first floor and the minifigures can get a better view of this prehistoric flying reptile (not a dinosaur) from the second floor.

The 2nd Floor contains multiple displays of science, history and art lovers. &nbsp;Minifigures will be greeted&nbsp;by a monkey hanging out from a tree as soon as they get off the elevator. &nbsp;A giant pacific octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini)&nbsp;will be the next exhibit on the journey through the second floor of the City Museum. &nbsp;Neanderthal and ancient Egypt exhibits are located on the back left wall, along with a masterpiece known as the&nbsp;Girl with a Pearl Earring.&nbsp;&nbsp;Along the left side of the room are statues of Abraham Lincoln and a minifigure size recreation of the Statue of Liberty. &nbsp;In the round glass display, a recreation of the LEGO moon landing can be viewed by all the visitors. &nbsp;A display of gemstones finishes off the 2nd floor exhibits. &nbsp;As a bonus, minifigures can look below at the dinosaur exhibit to get better views of the&nbsp;Pteranodon&nbsp;and&nbsp;T. rex. &nbsp;

The Roof contains&nbsp;a large multi-window sky light in the center. &nbsp;Golden statues are found on each corner of the building and a golden dinosaur is found in the center. &nbsp;An airconditioning unit can be found at the back corner of the roof (extra security might be needed to protect against burglaries). &nbsp;Along the front of the building are sand green and gold details. &nbsp;Special &quot;Dinosaur Exhibit&quot; banners can be seen hanging from each&nbsp;corner of the roof above the sidewalks below.
