Breakfast and Studies: The Morning Rush

Some of the most fun to build and rewarding Lego sets are the dioramas. These sets use advanced building techniques for maximum detail on a small and affordable scale. However, the one problem with these sets is the lack of creativity. They are all based off of scenes from movies giving the designers less creative freedom as they are telling a story that has already been written for them rather than creating their own original creative stories. That is why I built this kitchen diorama. It was all made from my own creative ideas to tell a story with my minifigures and pieces, just like any diorama should. Let's take a look at the story this build tells.
One morning, the Block family was having a normal breakfast. Dad had been hard at work at the breakfast table since 6 o'clock and was already on his second cup of coffee. His daughter got up extra early to finish a school assignment and was hard at work, observing something under a microscope while taking tedious note. She was so busy that she left her waffle untouched. Her brother had gotten up late that morning and was in a rush to get out the door. He was moving so fast that he not only spilled some cereal on the table, but also forgot to comb his hair! Mom had been busy washing dishes in the sink and was about to open the letter that had been sitting on the table since Tuesday, when she remembered the eggs she was cooking on the stove for her own breakfast. It was then that disaster struck. Dad had spilled his coffee all over his computer! It went all the way off the counter and onto the floor before anyone could do anything! Was this an average morning for their family, or an extra exciting breakfast?
What other details do you notice that could inspire your own stories? It's all up to you, what story do you want to tell with your diorama? Unlike any other Lego diorama set, this one tells an original story without being limited to any source material making it a creative, original story that would look great on a shelf, desk, or in your own kitchen! So what are you waiting for? Support this build, and who knows? Maybe it will inspire Lego to make their own creative dioramas with the same level of detail as the themed ones, but tell their own creative stories, their own way, just like Lego was intended to do.
