LEGO Museum and Park

This is a microscale LEGO museum/park, focusing on the first three minifigure-filled themes - 1) Castle, 2) Space, and 3) Town - plus the next theme 4) Pirates.  I have enjoyed LEGO bricks for over 40 years, with my siblings and later my own kids, and this project is my homage to LEGO.

To help make this project a reality, please click "Support" and also "Follow".  Also, where it says "Created by" please click on "Colin23" and then click "Follow".  Please also leave a comment - I will reply.  If you do not have your own LEGO ID, you will need to register one, but don't worry, you won't get any unwanted emails.  Just click "Support" and then click on "GET YOUR OWN LEGO ID".

Details: The center of the set is made of four enlarged 1x1 bricks as buildings (in original colors white, blue, yellow, and red), with windows inserted using SNOT techniques, connected by elevated tubular walkways.  In the very middle is a fountain.  The entry to the buildings is under the white building.  A statue of a minifigure and a statue of a LEGO wooden duck (from the 1930s) marks the entry.  A visitor could pass between the statues to check out the fountain before rising through the elevator to the connected brick-ish buildings, or explore the different themes in the corners.  My son helped me make this set and then immediately after we were done taking photos he asked if we could keep it "as is" and have it in his room - so I think this would appeal both to the kids and to the AFOLs like me.  This would be a relatively inexpensive, compact, and complete way to re-capture good LEGO memories and start to build new ones.

The Classic Space theme corner is inspired by the Space Cruiser set (#487) from 1987, sitting on a Crater Plate (#305) from 1979.  The Castle theme corner is of course set #375 from 1978 (as kids we had #6075, the U.S. version - same thing, but from 1981).  The Town theme corner is a micro rendition of the Town House (#560) from 1979.  While the Pirates theme originated in 1989, the corner vignette is based on the 1992 Imperial Flagship (#6271).
