<div><b>How it all came together:</b><br></div><div><br></div><div>I usually enjoy building LEGO® train projects that resemble real locomotives or rolling stock rather than strictly being based upon them. However, I wanted to step out of that comfort zone and do something different, edgy, fresh, and on a bigger scale. I thought to myself, "I would like to build a locomotive with a cowl like an F7 unit." After browsing locomotives on my Trainz™ Simulator from 2010, I decided that the FPA-4 would be a great one to replicate. I decided to build it with the VIA Rail paint scheme after surfing the internet for some images for inspiration. This is the result, and I do hope you like it!<br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Project description:</b><br></div><div><br></div><div>This project is 1,046 pieces. The locomotive has true-to-life features such as railings, a static knuckle-coupler, the number plates of an existing VIA Rail locomotive, and a bell, horn, and radiator atop the locomotive. Not only this, but the cab's interior is also highly-detailed and built to be as true to the original as possible. The engine room is completely accurate, excepting the engine itself. To see all of this, the roof can be lifted, and the engine with other engine-room interior can be taken out. Not only can these items be further inspected, but they also make way for the Bluetooth-based Powered UP™ motorization system. (I hope to reveal these features in the near future.) One final feature involves the VIA Rail logos on the sides of the locomotive, as well as the one on the front. They can be swapped out for Canadian National Railways logos, and will still maintain accuracy to the actual FPA-4 locomotives.<br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Conclusion:</b><br></div><div><br></div><div>Thank you all so much for supporting this project!
