Free the Kraken! These were the words of Zeus as he ordered Poseidon to free the gigantic sea monster.
The creature awakened to devour the poor princess Andromeda , who was chained to a cliff and given as a sacrifice on the orders to the goddess Thetis (jealous of her beauty), fortunately the young Perseus, son of Zeus, intervened to save the young woman. On the back of his noble steed Pegasus (the last of the winged horses) and with the golden owl Bubo, he succeeds in the extraordinary feat that no one had ever attempted, the definitive defeat of the Kraken !!
This set recreates the famous scene from the 1981 film, in which the demigod Perseus riding the majestic Pegasus saves Andromeda from the clutches of the titanic Kraken, defeating him once and for all.
I decided to create this set above all to obtain a giant buildable lego Kraken similar to the one that appeared on the big screen in the 2017 Lego Batman movie, the creature also takes its form from the 1981 film.
The design of the titan was created by american film producer and animator Ray Harryhausen, the mind behind the appearance of many other creatures of other films on greek mythology such as: Jason and the Argonauts.
The set contains 2 minifigures depicting: Perseus (armed with shield and sword) and princess Andromeda (she equipped with chains to attach her to the cliff), then we have a figure of Pegasus and a small golden owl depicting Bubo.
The set also features two cliffs and a giant figure of the Kraken, which can turning the head, the four arms (also articulated, so you can position the creature in the way you want), the tail and the jaw.
I hope this set meets your expectations, thank you all and happy building !!
