Technical description
737-700 Split scimitar winglets, State of the art.
Inspired by the evolution of the split winglet designed for brand new 737 MAX series, a retrofit set has entered the market.
Adding the ventral strake + scimitar tips to the existing witglet can dramatically improve the appearance of the older plane as well as reduce the fuel consumption. These particular enhancements are now available as an retrofit for the whole 737 next gen family (-600, -700, -800, -900ER). You can watch some UNITED planespotting videos. The airlines have already equipped even their shortest 737-700s with this kind of improvement.
