Petra - Al Khazneh Treasury

Petra is a historic city and archaeological site in southern Jordan. One of the most visited and extraordinary locations in Petra is Al Khazneh treasury. This temple was with most of the other buildings in Petra carved out of a sandstone rock face, which is demonstration of admirable skill of constructors of the time. UNESCO has described Petra as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage". In 2007, Al-Khazneh was voted one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

I'm student at faculty of civil engineering and since childhood I have been hoping to once become a Lego architect. Geography and architecture were always my biggest hobbies and when Lego released Taj Mahal in 2008 I felt even more in love with Lego landmarks creations. Recently Lego has released huge model of Colosseum, it gave me an idea. I thought it woould be nice if Lego created some kind of "Large scale creator expert New 7 Wonders of the World" collection sets. 

So, I created Petra model in similar scale, size and piece count as models of Colosseum and Taj Mahal. Due to the usage of parts which are not available in certain colors, I created my design with help of 3D CAD and render software.
