The Great American Road Trip is a micro-scale set that displays some of the famous sights and natural beauty of the United States. From left (West) to right (East), the model presents a representation of the Pacific Ocean meeting rocky cliffs, the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, the Grand Canyon, The Grand Teton mountain range, Yellowstone's Old Faithful Geyser, the farmland of Middle America, a campground in the Appalachian Mountains, and a New England lighthouse looking over sailboats in the Atlantic. I designed this set to reflect the wonders of the American countryside, the diversity of the landscapes, and the call to adventure inherent in road tripping. The Great American Road Trip would make an excellent LEGO set because it allows the builder to travel and explore without leaving the table that they are building the set on.
