737-700 with scimitar winglets, British Airways

I have turned this plane into 737-700 (Next Generation 737) with brand new Boeing scimitar split winglets. The wings are newly designed and some minor changes to the fuselage have been made as well. Although the split winglets are completely new technology that was mainly used as an important feature of the brand new Boeing 737-MAX, it can be installed in all 737 NG of all variations.

Differences /adjustments:

  • The 700 is very similar in many ways, just  a bit longer. The flaps are not separated in half by the CFM engine pylons but work in one piece instead (and it is much easier to handle it on the model indeed). The logo lights are integrated in the horizontal stabilizer.
  • The scimitar winglets enlarge the wingspan in general, save fuel (cut down up to 20 percent of the costs) and make the plane more stable and manouverable especially during landing procedures.
  • The "eyebrows" - roof cockpit windows are an option. Not so many pilots like them though (too much sunlight, noisier profile during the flight etc.)
  • BA livery now - no stickers!
  • Improved vertical stabilizer size and shape.

ENJOY THE PICS!

Tail logo is brick-made now!

Now, the colors are accurate. The overall red was not the best anyway.  The logo is red / white, the rest of the tail remains white. The CSA logo is fully brick-made now!

Engine design

Finally, the CFM-56 engines are a bit wider, shorter, oval and flat on the bottom now. That´sthe way they should be!  It has taken me so long to think it through...sorry about it. A 737 without flat engines on the bottom in not a 737 at all. Such an important attribute
