Medieval Carpenters Workshop and House

Author:

Update 1 – March 2025
The changes to this model are primarily for increased playability.
The main roof has been changed from a hinge connection to a slide on / off, the ridge and sides of the roof form an ‘L’ shape to lock into place and prevent it accidently sliding off. There have also been some cosmetic changes to the underside of the ridge and bargeboards.
The roof panels to the lower section have been edited for cosmetic reasons and these panels are still lift away and slot in place panels.
The upper floor of the building is now a lift and connect with just a few studs so you can gain better access to the lower floor. The hinged wall has remained on the 1 side of the lower floor to give both options during play.

Original Description

I love the medieval theme and found the blacksmith building truly great. I am presenting the Carpenter to expand the medieval village.

You will find The Carpenter, his wife and son. They have loaded up a cart with some chairs that have been made for a client. The workshop has large double doors to the side and a small door directly into the house. The roof panels to the workshop lift away to provide easy access.
In the house you will find a small dining area and a cabinet all made by our Carpenter. The side wall of the ground floor is hinged to open wide. The upstairs has a hinged roof that can open or be removed and easily reconnected.

The build has a total of 1383 parts
Size 34cm x 32cm x 18cm

Open to feedback and looking to improve, only got back into Lego in the last 3 months after a 20 year gap. This is my first design submission. :)
