Hyper Car

This model is a realistic, high performance sports car.
I have built this because I love seeing incredible automobiles and I wanted to have a LEGO version of one for myself.
I believe this would make a great LEGO set because of the realistic approach to the assembly of this model as well as the overall coolness of the design. While we have seen realistic cars in the TECHNIC range, I believe there is great potential for this kind of aesthetically focused designs.
A rigid carbon monocoque tub forms the center of the chassis. An aluminum subframe mounted on front and rear provide the anchorage for the driveline and other core components as well as attachment points for the bodywork.

This model is built up in a component-based modular system.
This means you build each separate component first before assembling the complete chassis.

Twin turbo V8 Engine with transmission and kinetic energy recuperation system.

Separate components include; engine, transmission, intercooler, ECU, battery, steering pump and many more.
This model can be "assembled" just like a real hyper car.

Air is taken in via the intercoolers to the manifold and into the compressor on top of the engine while insulated pipes make sure the exhaust gasses find their way to the rear of the car.

Furthermore, the bare chassis stands on its own, allowing easy swapping of bodywork.
So if you want to change colours or have a complete new exterior allthogether, you can!

The interior design is minimalistic to focus on the fun of driving.

The body works includes several aerodynamic features.

Upon a closer look, you'll find intercoolers hidden behind the front grille. Note how the side air intakes connect to the actual internal intercoolers.

The diffuser and spoiler make sure the car has enough downforce.

While a lot of attention was given to the sturdiness of the design, it is mostly meant as a display model.

I hope you like it.
