This is the tall flowering potted cactus! A model of the Trichocereus "Flying Saucer" Cactus in bloom. The model is placed in a Lego pot inspired by those in the "Four Gentlemen" Lego Botanicals sets. Though instead of mimicking a ceramic material this one mimics a clay pot, more in keeping of the culture where these cacti can be found.
I built this model as I would like a greater range of plants in the Botanicals range, specifically cacti and succulents. Additionally the Flying Saucer cactus blooms only lasts for longest half a day - as such I feel a Lego model of the cactus is a great way to see the bloom all year round. Those who might not be able to see it in person can enjoy it in their own home. These reasons are also why I believe it would be a great Lego set, in addition to the colours of the pot being an aesthetic decoration.
