Experience "YU-GI-OH!" like never before!
It first started as a manga by Kazuki Takahashi. Before evolving into a television series, The most captivating trading card game of all time which is hugely successfully and releases to this day and even into action figures and other merchandise!
Why would it be a good set?
I believe a collaboration between Konami and LEGO for this set idea would garner a lot of attention and provide free advertisement through websites and social media. Besides official support, there is fan support for both brands that would undoubtedly make videos and other posts online talking about the released set.
It would make a perfect nostalgic product for both new and old fans of "Yu-Gi-Oh!" and LEGO. Both companies have the capability to make the final set a must-have, "eye-catching" product. The possibilities for what could be included are endless.
Providing Konami with countless options to include even hypothetically extra features. Such exclusive designed packaging or even a batch of exclusive cards with a "LEGO" rarity should the collaboration go beyond the expected. Such a scenario could very well make it the next "Minecraft" type release that the LEGO Ideas platform is seeking. As it could be designed with this in mind to appeal to all "Yu-Gi-Oh!" fans in addition to LEGO fans. Even to the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" fans that have never bought LEGO products before. Which could expand LEGO & LEGO Ideas audience further.
Why I made it?
I grew up watching the Series and the YU-GI-OH! GX series as well as playing the trading card game. Playing it while I was in school and then within an Internet café. My first pack was the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Starter Deck. I still return to watch the opening themes of the series & in the alternate language versions for the nostalgia.
