Inception - 15th Anniversary

In the year 2010, Christopher Nolan released the movie Inception. And in the many years that followed, many have called it one of the best films of the past decade. With the film approaching its 15th anniversary, I wanted to commemorate it by creating a Lego set that displayed some of the most iconic set pieces from the film.

This set consists of 1632 pieces with 8 minifigures. It contains one main display stand, which holds four smaller models. Each of these models represents one of the levels Cobb's team infiltrates when they attempt to perform an inception on Robert Fischer.

The first level displays the van driving across the bridge in the city. The van can seat all the members of the crew. There are two ways you can set up this scene. The first way has the van positioned stationary on the bridge. The second way you can display it is by using support rigs to make it look like the van is falling off the bridge. The second level shows the hallway fight in the hotel. The entire hallway can be rotated a full 360 degrees to display different orientations of the hallway during Arthur's fight. There are some places where you can lodge minifigures to pose them. The third level represents the assault on the snow base. Half of the base is covered with walls, while the other half is left open for accessibility. In the interior, the safe containing Fischer's subconsciousness can be seen. The fourth and final level represents Limbo, the unconstructed dream realm. The model recreates the room that Mal meets Cob in when he travels to this sublevel. These four models can be placed on this display stand, which contains Cobb's totem. As an extra, there is a side model representing the airplane seats that the crew is seated in during the infiltration.

There are 8 characters in this set: Dom, Arthur, Ariadne, Saito, Eames, Yusuf, Robert, and Mal. There is a small minifigure stand to display these characters.

I think Inception would make for a great Lego set because of how well the mind-bending scenery of the film can go with the display factor and flexibility of Lego bricks. A film as iconic as Inception deserves to have its legacy cemented in Lego form.

Thank you for checking out my project! I hope you consider supporting it!
